How You Can Help

Anything that will improve the drafts is appreciated. The following are some suggestions:

  1. I always indicate which edition I've used. If you happen to have the same edition, don't hesitate to correct page number references;
  2. If you think there's something in the text that needs annotating, insert a header with a snippet of the text and the page number: please mention which edition you're using, even if it's the same as mine, because page numbers vary greatly from one edition to another.
  3. If you want to add the annotation, go ahead.
  4. If you think I've mis-stated a fact, or you disagree with something I've written, say so: I may not agree, but I'm always willing to consider other views.

Of course, if you're feeling particularly ambitious, you could start annotating another book! Just add the title to the Work in Progress page, create a new page, and away you go . . .

NB: Some annotations say no more than "See xxxxx", where "xxxxx" is another Wodehouse title. The reason for this is that I don't believe in repeating myself (well, not much!), so if a phrase occurs in several works, I annotate it the first time (chronologically, by publishing date) that it occurs and subsequent occurrences point back to that earliest instance. The hyperlinks to achieve this cross-referencing don't appear here: if you want to see how the annotation reads, you'll need to visit my website. If you want to edit the annotation, include your comments under the cross-reference here.
